Transitional Toddler Room

I wanted to share some photos with you of a transitional toddler room that I just finished helping a friend out with. (Take note these are my photos, professional ones will be taken once the new nursery is complete.)

My friend has a 18 month old son and is about to have her second little girl in a few weeks. This room was originally a catch-all playroom.

Since this room is serving as a transitional room until Sam is ready for a big boy bed, we did not want to spend a fortune on the transition. The only new pieces purchased for the room where the robot artwork, the rug, and the Expedit bookcases. The crib, chaise and changer were already owned by the family. We added the stripes on only two walls so that it would not overwhelm the room.

The goal was to create a playful free space for her son where he could play and sleep.

in case you were wondering the stripes are 17" wide

And here is a close up of the 10.5 x10.5 artwork from Oopsy Daisy

  1. Love the room! It is perfect. Would you share where you got the bins for the Expedit bookcases. I love Expedit but can never find a perfectly sized bin like you did.

    Thanks.
