Speaking of trees, I just completed a nursery for twins in Manhattan Beach which features an adorable tree mural and some monkeys playing around.
The parents were looking for a soothing traditional gender neutral nursery with a playful twist (they did not know what they were having). Mom and Dad loved the feeling of the nursery below (featured on the Serena & Lily facebook page). And since they liked the idea of the painted cribs, they were open to having a mini mural painted on the wall.
We used the same Dylan crib set from Serena & Lily and played with the jungle theme without creating an over-themed nursery. The artwork on the right wall is filled with loving notes of advice and adoration by Sugarboo Designs. The glider is the Cottage Recliner from Little Castle Inc. in a custom fabric and Sutton cribs are from Restoration Hardware Baby & Child.
The mural is a greenery filled version of a cherry blossom tree with animated monkeys playing around. We had the muralist also add some wispy grass on the floor to create some visual interest for the children when they are playing on the carpet. It also balances out the mural.
A special thank you to Liz from Life Iz Photography for taking these photos. She also took some gorgeous shots of the family.

Oh in case you were wondering, the couple had two adorable girls!
