Victoria Hagan is one of my favorite interior designers and design idols. Her sense of design is classical, timeless, fresh and inspiring with a modern twist. Her new book Victoria Hagan Interior Portraits recently came out and I poured through it all night while my husband was at the Laker game. Beautiful photography and a must-have coffee table book. I definitely suggest this on my hot holiday list, either as a hostess gift, a gift for your mother-in-law, sister-in-law, sister or best friend who loves good design.
These next two images are from her city and country portfolio and are some examples of children's rooms which she has designed. You know I can't resist a good bunk room.
I love her quote "I just like to make happy homes", which is so true especially when designing for children. I think that she designed her graphic circle and square print "Summer Square" fabric with specifically this quote in mind. Could you find a more playful and educating print which can also lend itself to being sophisticated? It has been used by many designers primarily as window treatments and on pillows because of the oversized pattern.

These last three rooms were designed my Robyn Karp Interiors, she definitely loves using this fabric in her children's designs. She uses the fabric as window treatments in all of the rooms yet the treatments are all a different style. (Also notice her use of patterned rugs? Don't be afraid of layering pattern people! )

If you have a smaller budget, this fabric also makes wonderful graphic pillows:

Kay owns the store South of Market in Atlanta and Charleston where you can purchase the pillows on the couch above and the one below as well as many other amazing items! Wish we had this store in Manhattan Beach!
