The New Mix Collection from Stanley Young America

Move over Oeuf and Room and Board, Stanley Young America is now a big competitor in the mid-century modern inspired furniture market for children. Just introduced, the complete Mix line is fabulously stylish, quality crafted and certified by Greengaurd for child safety and environmental standards. Layla Grayce has a wonderful post on their blog today to summarize the style. To make the line even more exciting, it is available in over 21 different mix and match color combinations:

The cribs convert to toddler beds or full size beds and work with modern or traditional decor.

I prefer the look when the finishes are mixed like the photo above.

This also looks nice when the case pieces are a different color and finish than the crib or bed. It makes the room look more styled and less ordered out of the catalog.

The following three rooms are my favorite from the tween/teen bed collection. Don't you think they did a great job with the styling and photography? Much better than previous collections. It makes the pieces look much more high end.

The complete line is available at your local Stanley Young America retailer or on-line at Layla Grace. And for a limited time, Layla Grayce is offering Free shipping on all Stanley Young America orders over $750, including this new collection. I really like the writing desks too, possibly for my own desk!

One item to take note of when ordering these pieces (this goes for Pottery Barn pieces as well), to keep the price lower they sacrifice some design qualities such as hidden hardware. So you will see the screws on the side of the cribs and on most of the beds. This does not bother most people but if you like a completely finished look or if the bed is positioned in the room where you stare at the screws, this may be something to consider and look at in person.

  1. This furniture is beautiful. Thanks for sharing. (Good point too about the quality. I personally hate seeing the screws!)

  2. I love simple cribs, even in otherwise traditional spaces. The colorways available are wonderful. Great round-up!

  3. I love the colors that are available it really allows for personalization. The design of the crib is so modern but offers a touch of the older style cribs to!
