Muse Interiors

Every few weeks I like to highlight some children's room designs by other fellow interior designers. This week I chose Muse Interiors after seeing this kitchen the blog Cococozy. It has every element that I'm looking for in my kitchen re-model: some marble (although I prefer soapstone), simple and clean hardware and cabinet trim, modern bar stools, killer light fixtures and a touch of wallpaper. Since I liked the kitchen so much I headed on over to the Muse Interiors portfolio and loved what I saw. Here are a few highlights of designs by the Greenwich, Connecticut design firm.

Boys room in red, white and blue. You can't go wrong with theses traditional colors. The blue carpet leaves room for white walls and simple bedding.

Teenage boy's room free of clutter and the graphic Jonathan Adler pillows add just enough pattern to make the space visually interesting without being over-done.

The mudroom - oh to have room for one of these someday. I like how the shoes are hidden underneath the cubbies and the stenciled compass on the floor adds an unexpected surprise.

And the pool house bar, simple with a touch of modern rustic charm. As you know I am a sucker for patterned floors! Painted wood this time.
