New Floors

Like these floors? They are from the restaurant Brio NYC

(photograph via All the Best Blog)

I used them for my home office floors at home

(before the furniture)

They span the entire downstairs hallway (laundry room through the doors on the left) and entryway.

I'm still waiting on some artwork and a bookcase on the right to complete the space.

My inspiration came from entryways like this with dramatic floors.

I'll show you my entryway as soon as my new front doors come in, just a few more weeks!

Still in Texas loving this spring weather!

  1. love the floor, so fun! great picture of you.

  2. The floor looks really great - thank you for sharing the photos and for all you do. I find a lot of inspiration from your blog.

I was wondering if you could tell me what spcific brand and color you painted your black office door. Some black doors look very harsh, really shiny, etc. Your office door has a soft, muted black look to it. It's all very nice!

    Thank you!

  3. Looks great! I love all the pink fabric on the bulletin board in your office (would be great for a girls room)...can you let me know who makes it? Thank you!

  4. The paint on the door is actually chalkboard paint from Benjamin Moore. I also used it on a small wall in the hallway so I could make to-do lists that I can't miss! The subtle sheen is perfect and the storage door is multi functional now.

  5. Lisa,
The fabrics are from 3 different vendors Pindler & Pindler, Lee Joffa, Schumacher available to the trade. They are for a project I'm working on for a client. I'm glad you like them.
