Today I am participating in a blogging initiative for Pencils of Promise.
Pencil's of Promise is a non-profit organization which raises money to build schools in the developing world. So far the organization has broken ground on 35 schools across Laos, Nicaragua and Guatemala.
The campaign is called Schools 4 All and is a challenge in which Pencil's of Promise supporters raise money to help build schools and provide basic education for the 75 million children across the world without access. The top fundraiser will win a visit from Justin Beiber and the PoP Founder Adam Braun to a school of their choice (seriously how much would your child or niece love you for this one!). They are also offering 4 trips to visit their projects on the ground in Guatemala, randomly drawn from all fundraisers who raise over $100.
All of the money raised will go directly towards fulfilling the Pencils of Promise mission and will help those in need by providing them with access to a basic education for years to come. We take for granted the access that we have to public education and should try to help others around the world achieve similar opportunities.
To enter into the promotion, go to www.schools4all.com and follow the on-screen instructions to create your very own fundraising page. Create your own or donate to the Nursery Notations page HERE. My personal goal is $250 for today and as an added incentive if we reach that I will match the donation.
