Sally Wheat Interiors

Since all the designers I've been showcasing this week are either on the west or east coast I thought I needed to introduce you to a fellow Texan. Sally Wheat is quickly becoming a star in the Houston design circuit. Her rooms are light and airy and generally have a neutral romantic palette but she is not afraid of a touch of dark drama either. She has been featured on the blog Cote de Texas many times and her own house has been on the cover of Houston House & Home.

Here are a few of the children's rooms in her portfolio:

A tufted round ottoman is a lovely touch and alternate to the over-used pouf!

Spashes of neon pink compliment the white & grey backdrop of the room.

A romantic girls' room with a soft lavender and grey pairing.

The mod floral wallpaper modernizes this room.

Bold stripes on the ceiling, cowhide rug and dramatic walls make this room stand out.

With the patterned wallpaper there is no need for artwork or over-decorative bedding.

One more designer to go tomorrow, then off to Palm Desert for the weekend for some sunshine!

  1. My favorite element is the ottoman. I love ottomans...aren't they just so practical? You can use them to sit, the put a tray, rest your books, etc...really great for a kid's room where little ones are growing and going through various stages....an ottoman will last!
