Vacation Home Bunk Room in Sydney

Today I'll be working my way back to back home from a week in Texas. I hope you all had a wonderful time visiting friends and family over the holiday weekend.

I'd like to start off the week with a look at a bunk room featured on Fresh Home over the weekend. This is a custom designed bunk for a guest house in Palm Beach just outside of Sydney, Australia. The home was completely remodeled and modernized by Brooke Aitkin Design to accomidate up to 14 people at one time as a vacation home.

The room is fairly simple. White walls, bedding and bunks dominate the design with pops of color with the striped ottoman, bean bag and bold block pillows. The room sleeps up to six with extra trundle beds under each bunk. The circle opening between the bunks is a playfyl touch which makes the guests feel as if they are in an ocean liner.

I have a week full of exciting guest posts and real room debuts to share! Stay tuned!

  1. Love the room. Such fun for kids and grown-ups alike. All the white with the bursts of bright colour - great holiday vibe and not at all typically beach decor. I live near here - it's a stunning part of the world and some of the best houses in Australia. Kind of our answer to the Hamptons!
