Crushing Chinoiserie

Chinoiserie has been a long-time favorite of mine.  At first thought it might seem a bit strange to use it in children's decor but because of the playful nature of the pattern it works perfectly. Here are a few examples of ways to bring it into your child's decor:

Wallpaper
I think if you want an all over room look go for wallpaper in this motif. A white background is more subtle.

And a colored is more bold.

Fabric:
Or just bring it in as a fabric on a headboard or pillow.

  1. That orange headboard is to die for. Maybe that's how I will incorporate that color in my daughter's room. She loves orange, red, and yellow and I'm not sure about all those bright colors in one room.
