High vs Low - Crystal Ship Chandelier
I'm going to apologize for my absence last week. Had some wonderful friends in town staying with us with kids my son and daughter's exact age and that paired with trying to get some client work done put the blog on the low end of the totem pole. But after a week of hitting the beach, museums, Disneyland and some adult time in Los Angeles...I'm back.
So to catch up, I wanted to make sure you all did not miss my High vs Low last week on Project Nursery featuring the beautiful and over the top chandelier shown in the bunk room designed by Joy Tribout Interior Design.

Palm Beach Inspired Shared Room by Andrika King Design
Remember the sneak peek I gave you all a few weeks ago? Well here are the rest of the photos of the Palm Beach inspired room in Manhattan Beach. The two sisters who share this room wanted something pink, green and bright. Once we found out inspirational colors and fabric, the design just came together. I think we achieved a playful yet sophisticated look which the girls can grow into.
The focal point in the room is definitely the wall of drapes. With a piece like that you don't need much more artwork. The only other items on the walls are family photos, a bamboo mirror next to the dresser, and a custom posting board.

New Items from Little Choux
If your family loves horses and you have a daughter, you HAVE to find a place somewhere in your house to use this paper above. So simple and playful yet it has a wonderfully sophisticated feeling to it. They also have a wonderful selection of unique artwork and gifts. I'm all about silhouettes now and they offer custom artwork too.
And lets not forget about the gifts...plastic for children is passé, teach them how to be responsible and use ceramic dishes. How adorable are these ceramic sets?

New Crib Sets from New Arrivals
This week I'd like to do a shout out to all my sponsors on Nursery Notations. Thank you all for helping me support this wonderful blog and for wanting to advertise on my site: Bloume Baby, Little Choux, New Arrivals Inc., Polka Dot Peacock.
First up this week is New Arrivals Inc. They have been a sponsor with us from almost the beginning and keep coming up with wonderful nursery and children's room bedding and decor designs. They are picking up the nursery slack where Serena & Lily is leaving off (as S&L is expanding and placing more emphasis into the adult arena).
This weekend New Arrivals debuted there newest designs and I only discovered this while stalking them on Pinterest. So many wonderful choices for boy and girl, I can't decide which are my favorites!

Lulu DK for Schumacher
I actually already have samples of most of the fabrics and have been scheming of ways to use them in a few new projects for clients...mainly in playrooms right now. But I wanted to share some of the photos with you all which are also available on the Schumacher website. I had the pleasure of meeting Lulu a few weeks ago at West Week here in Los Angeles and she is as charming and beautiful in person as rumored. She definitely has an artist's view on life and design and has such a carefree attitude on blending work and life. Unfortunately none of these prints are available as wallpaper...yet...but there are in work for 2013. If you have to have them on the wall, you can always upholster, it will cost you an arm and a leg but it is charming and very traditional.
